Membership

The Heritage Museum has over 200 active members. Membership dues are minimal and the fees are modest. Most importantly, active memberships allow the museum to open on a daily basis and to collect, preserve, and exhibit the prehistoric and historic treasures of Seguin, Guadalupe County, and South Central Texas. The museum refers to its members as "guardians" in recognition of the vital role of our membership in protecting the past.

Below are some examples of the what active memberships enable the museum to accomplishment in any given year:

  • Weekly publishing of historic photographs of Seguin and Guadalupe County in the Seguin Gazette-Enterprise and the Seguin Daily News.
  • Participate in Las Pasadas.
  • Serve as reception center for the Seguin Conservation Society's annual Parade of Homes.
  • Set up photograph exhibits at the annual Buck Fever night.
  • Complete the museum's floor exhibit of the Weiss, Ballard, and Leon Studio collections.
  • Special July 4th photograph exhibit every July 4th.
  • Set up a historical exhibit at the Silver Center.
  • Host an annual open house prior to, during, and after the Christmas Tree lighting.
