March 7th- Author Bill Neeley will be at the Museum from 3pm – 6pm to talk about and sign his latest book “A Tejano Knight:The Quest of Don Juan Seguin”. The book discusses the fascinating life and accomplishments of Juan Seguin. Mr. Neeley will be accepting all forms of payment for his book.
March 2nd- Toast to Texas was held to celebrate 181 years of Texas Independence. The annual event begun in 1986 by Nora Naumann featured speakers such as the president of the local DRT chapter Karen Willis and Seguin Mayor Don Keil as well as State Representative John Kuempel. The event was sponsored by Abishai Mercer Dickson Chapter, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Sebastopol House Historic Site, City of Seguin and the Parks and Recreation Department.
April 7th- The Museum will be celebrating its 18th anniversary from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with Wine, Cheese, Tea, & Heavy Hors d’ ouevres. The Museum will also be hosting its annual silent auction with over 20 donated items and all proceeds benefiting the Museum directly. All members are free and non-members are $15.00.
Good morning all! Please mark your calendars as the Museum will be closed Monday and Tuesday of next week July 3rd & 4th to celebrate 241 years of independence. The Museum will re-open Wednesday July 5th resuming normal hours.
